Job Overview We are seeking a Junior Electroencephalogram Technician to join our dedicated team at Spandana Hospital's Bangalore location. As a Full-Time member of our team, the ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting EEG tests essential for diagnosing neurological issues. The role requires skills in both patient interaction and technical proficiency with EEG equipment. Qualifications and Skills Proficiency in EEG Recording (Mandatory skill) to efficiently capture brain activity and ensure data accuracy for diagnostic purposes. Solid understanding of Neurophysiology (Mandatory skill) in order to interpret EEG data and assist neurologists in the diagnosis process. Patient Preparation (Mandatory skill) for EEG, including explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort and compliance during testing. Skilled in Electrode Placement to ensure accurate recording by correctly positioning electrodes on the patient's scalp. Experience with Neurodiagnostic Equipment for operating, troubleshooting, and conducting necessary tests efficiently and effectively. Ability to perform Equipment Maintenance to ensure that the EEG devices are functioning optimally and reduce downtime. Familiarity with Medical Terminology for effective communication with healthcare staff and accurate documentation of EEG results. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain precise records and manage multiple patient tests concurrently. Roles and Responsibilities Conduct EEG tests accurately and professionally to assist physicians in diagnosing neurological conditions. Prepare and educate patients prior to procedures, ensuring they understand the process to alleviate any concerns. Apply electrodes correctly to capture reliable and high-quality electroencephalogram readings. Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate EEG equipment regularly to prevent any operational disruptions. Document and report test results accurately in compliance with hospital protocols. Collaborate with healthcare team members to discuss patient test outcomes and assist in treatment planning. Stay updated with industry standards and new technologies to continually improve testing methodologies. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
