Job Title: Retail Designer – Concept Evolution & Format Adaptation Location: Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi Company: Networkbay Retail Experience Required: Minimum 5 years in retail design Software Proficiency: SketchUp (must), Adobe Suite, AutoCAD (preferred) About Us: Networkbay Retail is a leading retail design and build company, delivering best-in-class physical retail experiences for some of India’s top brands. While our core concepts are developed in collaboration with global design partners, we take pride in evolving and adapting these ideas to local markets and varying store formats — and we’re looking for a designer who can do just that. Role Overview: We’re seeking a Retail Designer who goes beyond basic adaptation. You’ll be responsible for evolving global retail concepts creatively — extending, improving, and adapting them to suit different store formats (mall, high street, flagship, kiosk, etc.) while staying true to the brand intent. You should be as confident working with a tight 300 sq. ft. store as you are with a flagship experience zone. This is a creative role that requires a deep understanding of brand storytelling, spatial thinking, and the ability to adapt and elevate designs in diverse real-world retail contexts. Key Responsibilities: Interpret and evolve global retail concepts to suit Indian formats and customer contexts. Adapt and enhance designs for different store sizes and locations (mall, high street, large/small formats). Suggest creative solutions for layout optimization, material changes, and storytelling enhancements while maintaining brand consistency. Collaborate with the internal design, project, and execution teams to ensure smooth transition from concept to rollout. Develop detailed 3D visualizations using SketchUp for internal and client reviews. Participate in brainstorming sessions and proactively bring fresh ideas to improve the retail experience. Understand brand guidelines and business objectives to ensure all adaptations serve both functional and emotional goals. Maintain version control of evolving design kits and formats over multiple rollouts. Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, Retail Design, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in a creative retail design role. Strong proficiency in SketchUp . Familiarity with materials, lighting, and retail environments in India. A strong understanding of brand storytelling and customer journey mapping in physical spaces. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively under tight timelines. You Are: Not just an adapter, but a creative thinker who questions, improves, and enhances. Comfortable balancing design integrity with real-world constraints like space, cost, and format. Detail-oriented, passionate about retail environments, and able to visualize how people move through a store. A strong communicator who can articulate design intent to both internal teams and clients. Why Join Us? At Networkbay, you’ll be part of the team crafting the Store of the Future for some of the most ambitious retail brands. You’ll get the chance to work with global concepts and localize them with your own creative flair, playing a key role in the evolution of physical retail. Show more Show less
