Description
As a Network & Security Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network and security infrastructure globally. Your role will involve delivering network solutions for projects of varying complexity, ensuring operational stability, and collaborating with engineering teams to implement secure, scalable, and high-performance network architectures. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement network and security solutions, including architecture strategies, migration plans, and deployment support for low to high complexity projects. - Follow established change management processes aligned with ITIL frameworks. - Perform hands-on configuration and deployment of network and security infrastructure for new service deliveries. - Participate in project meetings as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to ensure successful project delivery and adherence to timelines. - Implement standardized network designs developed by the Network Engineering team across infrastructure projects. - Provide support across the lifecycle including configuration, troubleshooting, optimization, documentation, and requirements gathering. - Deliver technical guidance and engineering support for broader solution delivery initiatives. - Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency. - Maintain deep technical expertise across networking and security technologies to support new integrations and solution capabilities. - Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers, providing both technical and executive-level communication. - Conduct consultations, technical assessments, and stakeholder interviews to address complex technical requirements. - Stay current with emerging tools, technologies, and industry trends to support continuous innovation. - Demonstrate a consultative approach, collaborating with stakeholders to identify technology needs and translate them into scalable solutions. - Collaborate closely with global engineering teams across different time zones to maintain operational continuity and knowledge sharing. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience managing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network and firewall technologies in large, globally distributed environments. - Expert-level hands-on experience with Check Point and Fortinet firewalls. - Strong understanding of HTTP protocol, SSL/TLS, and PKI infrastructure. - Hands-on experience with networking equipment, monitoring tools, and network analyzers. - Experience developing detailed Method of Procedure (MOP) documentation and technical documentation. - Familiarity with network automation tools is preferred. - Strong knowledge of Layer 3 networking technologies, including: - IPv4 - BGP - OSPF - EIGRP - PIM - HSRP - DMVPN - NHRP - GETVPN - Strong knowledge of Layer 2 technologies, including: - Spanning Tree Protocol - VLANs - QinQ - IEEE 802.1Q - Experience with load balancing platforms such as: - Citrix NetScaler - F5 - Foundational knowledge of cloud networking concepts across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including APIs and integration. - Proven ability to work independently in remote and globally distributed teams. - Strong problem-solving mindset leveraging both internal and external resources. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to facilitate technical discussions and lead productive meetings in a collaborative team environment.
