.NET and SQL Support Engineer

In this role as a .NET and SQL Support Engineer, you will be an integral part of supporting Alithya's Digital Applications solutions. Reporting to the Digital Applications Support team, you will be responsible for providing ongoing support for a high-profile product used to monitor equipment status in the nuclear industry. Your contributions will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of this product. It is important to note that this position requires working hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., following a rotating schedule of 3 days on, 4 days off, 4 days on, and 3 days off. Your responsibilities will include: - Providing ongoing support for a high-profile product in the nuclear industry. - Developing and debugging in Visual Studio or VS Code. - Connecting the application to leading back-end data stores such as SQL, NoSQL, and Big Data. - Troubleshooting and resolving complex infrastructure and database issues. - Collaborating effectively across teams, both internally and with clients. - Working independently and producing quality results without supervision. To excel in this role, the following key qualifications are essential: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - SQL Server and Azure certifications. - Minimum 5 years of experience in a .NET developer role. - Experience with C#/Angular web applications, Azure cloud services, and deployment strategies. - Proficiency in SQL Server database administration, performance optimization, and security. - Strong skills in front-end, middle-tier, and back-end development. - Familiarity with MVC, MVP, MVVM, microservices, Entity Framework, LINQ, and DevOps practices. - Excellent analytical skills with a track record of resolving complex infrastructure and database issues. - Effective communication and collaboration skills.
