POSITION PURPOSE The Engineer will be responsible for producing detailed mechanical drawings and documentation to support engineering and manufacturing processes. Working from ALPINE Pune office India, the engineer will collaborate closely with the Australian engineering team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of drafting outputs aligned with Australian standards and project requirements. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES 1. POSITION Create Detailed Technical Drawings Prepare detailed 2D and 3D mechanical models and drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor). Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and design intent to create accurate technical drawings. Produce fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings. Interpret Engineering Data Read and interpret mechanical design schematics, P&IDs, and technical documentation. Translate conceptual designs into accurate and practical drawings. Apply Australian Standards Ensure all drawings comply with relevant Australian Standards (e.g., AS1100 for technical drawing). Maintain consistency in line types, dimensioning, tolerances, and symbols. Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Welding symbols, and surface finishes Working knowledge of appropriate Australian Standards but not limited to such as AS4024. 3610, AS4024.3611, AS1654 and AS1657. Work Responsibilities & Considerations Communication & Collaboration - Maintain clear and professional communication via email, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or other company-approved platforms. - Attend regular virtual check-ins with the Engineering Services Manager. - Promptly respond to messages and requests to ensure smooth workflow. Self-Management & Accountability - Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of accuracy and productivity. - Take initiative in resolving drafting issues and seeking clarification when needed. EQUIPMENT, MACHINERY & TECHNOLOGY OPERATING MS Office Suite of Programs Autodesk AutoCAD Autodesk Inventor Autodesk Navisworks Autodesk Recap EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Min 5 years experience within a similar role, ideally in bulk material handling background or heavy industrial/mining industry Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline, Drafting. Showing proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D Inventor software Being proficient in Microsoft Office Obtained drawing and design experience Belt Conveyor Design experience SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Demonstrated conveyor knowledge. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Exceptional Autodesk Inventor skills. The ability to strategically evaluate and solve complex problems. Strong attention to detail.
