Job Title : Area Sales Manager Location : Chennai, Tamil Nadu Department : Sales Reports To : Regional Sales Manager / Sales Director Job Overview: The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for driving sales, managing a team of sales representatives, and executing the sales strategy within the assigned area of Jodhpur and surrounding regions. The role involves achieving sales targets, building strong relationships with key clients, and ensuring the successful implementation of marketing and promotional strategies. Key Responsibilities: Sales Target Achievement: Set and meet sales targets for the assigned area. Drive revenue growth by implementing strategic sales plans. Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet targets. Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of sales representatives. Conduct regular training and performance evaluations for the team. Ensure team compliance with sales policies and procedures. Market Analysis: Monitor competitor activities and market trends within the area. Conduct regular market research to identify growth opportunities. Provide feedback to senior management on customer needs, competitor activities, and market developments. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and customers. Resolve any issues or complaints promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction. Act as the key point of contact for major clients within the region. Sales Strategy Implementation: Implement company sales strategies, marketing initiatives, and promotional activities. Work closely with the marketing team to ensure campaigns are aligned with regional needs. Ensure smooth execution of product launches and promotional events. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate sales records, including client details, orders, and transactions. Prepare and submit regular sales reports to senior management. Analyze sales data and prepare forecasts to predict future sales trends. Inventory & Order Management: Monitor stock levels and ensure timely order fulfillment. Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure smooth product availability and delivery. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred). 4+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Strong knowledge of sales techniques and market dynamics. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Willingness to travel within the assigned area. Preferred Skills: Experience in [industry-specific knowledge if applicable, e.g., FMCG, pharmaceuticals, retail, etc.]. Familiarity with the Jodhpur market and local customer base.
