Key Responsibilities 1. Survey Operations Management Lead and supervise survey teams across all mining sites. Plan, schedule, and allocate survey work to meet operational requirements. Ensure the accuracy of pit layouts, haul roads, dump yards, and stockpile measurements. Conduct volumetric surveys for production reporting and contract billing. 2. Statutory Compliance Ensure all survey works comply with the Mines Act , DGMS guidelines , and other statutory regulations. Prepare and submit statutory plans such as surface plans, underground plans, and annual returns to the DGMS and other authorities. Maintain up-to-date mine plans, boundary pillars, and lease maps as per MMDR Act . 3. Technical Expertise Utilize advanced surveying instruments like Total Stations, DGPS, Drone Surveys, and 3D Laser Scanners . Generate digital terrain models (DTM) and 3D mine plans for planning and monitoring. Ensure accurate topographical surveys for mine planning, expansion, and reclamation projects. 4. Coordination & Reporting Work closely with the Mine Planning, Geology, and Production departments. Prepare survey reports, volume calculations, and deviation analyses for management review. Advise the management on land acquisition, lease boundaries, and encroachment issues. 5. Team & Resource Management Recruit, train, and mentor surveyors and assistants. Implement best practices in survey data management and storage. Monitor and control survey equipment usage and maintenance. Qualifications & Skills Required Education: Diploma / Degree in Mining Survey / Civil Engineering or equivalent, with Mine Surveyors Certificate of Competency (DGMS) Metal or Coal. Experience: Minimum 15–25 years in mine surveying, with at least 5 years in a senior management role . Strong knowledge of Mines Act, DGMS regulations, and statutory mine plans . Proficiency in survey software (AutoCAD, Surpac, Mine Planning software, GIS tools). Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Experience in managing multi-location survey teams and large-scale mining operations. Performance Indicators (KPIs) Accuracy of survey data and plans. Timely submission of statutory reports. Reduction in survey-related operational delays. Implementation of advanced survey technologies. Compliance with DGMS and other legal requirements.
Job Responsibilities Head (Environment & Forest Clearance) 1. Statutory Clearances & Compliance Lead and manage the complete process of obtaining Environmental Clearance (EC) and Forest Clearance (FC) for projects. Ensure compliance with MoEF&CC , State Pollution Control Boards (SPCBs) , Forest Departments , and other statutory authorities. Prepare and review EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) , EMP (Environmental Management Plan) , and related documents. Coordinate for approvals under Wildlife, CRZ, Water, Air, and Waste Management Acts where applicable. 2. Liaison & Coordination Act as the nodal point of contact between the company and statutory authorities (MoEF&CC, State Forest Dept., PCB, etc.). Liaise with consultants, auditors, government bodies, and legal teams for smooth and timely approvals. Represent the company in public hearings, expert appraisal committee (EAC) meetings, and court matters related to environment & forest clearances. 3. Project Planning & Execution Develop strategies and roadmaps for timely securing of EC & FC to avoid project delays. Monitor the progress of clearance processes, track timelines, and resolve bottlenecks. Advise project teams on environmental & forest clearance conditions during project design, execution, and operation stages. 4. Documentation & Reporting Oversee preparation and submission of applications, compliance reports, and periodic returns to authorities. Maintain up-to-date records of all clearances, licenses, permits, and compliance certificates . Ensure internal audits, inspections, and compliance monitoring for all projects. 5. Compliance Monitoring & Sustainability Monitor adherence to clearance conditions, environmental safeguards , and forest conservation stipulations . Implement environmental management systems (EMS) and sustainability initiatives aligned with corporate policies. Conduct training and awareness programs for employees on environmental and forest conservation practices . 6. Leadership & Team Management Lead and guide a team of environmental officers, consultants, and liaison staff . Build strong relationships with government officials, NGOs, and community stakeholders . Provide expert advice to senior management on environmental risks, liabilities, and mitigation strategies .
