MSSQL MYSQL Database Administrator

As a Database Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the database environment. Your responsibilities will include: - Data modelling & database design: You should be able to create an efficient physical database design from a logical data model and application specifications. - Database schema creation & management: Translate a data model or logical database design into an actual physical database implementation and manage the database thereafter. - Performance management and tuning: Proactively monitor the database environment and optimize performance by making changes to data structures, SQL, application logic, or the DBMS subsystem. - SQL coding knowledge: Possess in-depth SQL knowledge to understand and review SQL and host language programs, recommending changes for optimization. - Procedural skills: Help design, debug, implement, and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and user-defined functions stored in the DBMS. - Data security: Ensure rigorous security infrastructure for production and test databases. - Capacity planning: Predict growth based on application and data usage patterns and implement necessary database changes to accommodate growth. - Housekeeping & Maintenance: Responsible for the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise databases. Ensure optimal performance, security, and availability by implementing best practices for database housekeeping, including data cleanup, archiving, indexing, and monitoring. Perform routine health checks, apply patches, and manage backups to maintain database integrity and efficiency. Experience in cyber security will be an added advantage. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field. Primary Skills (Must have): - SQL - MY SQL - MS SQL - Database Administration - Database Programming - Database Development You should have 5+ years of experience and be able to join immediately to 15-20 days. The location for this position is Mumbai for work from office. The interview process includes a video screening with HR followed by L1 - Technical Interview and L2 - Technical and HR Round.
