As a Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Developer, your primary responsibility will involve designing, developing, and customizing solutions within the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 environment. You will be tasked with creating technical designs for application enhancements and modifications, as well as implementing AX customizations using X++, MorphX, and SSRS reports. An essential aspect of your role will be to develop and maintain integrations between AX 2012 and other systems using tools such as AIF (Application Integration Framework), Web Services, and Data Entities. Additionally, you will configure and manage integration endpoints, such as external databases or applications, to ensure seamless data flow. In terms of troubleshooting and support, you will be expected to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing AX 2012 implementations. Your technical expertise will be crucial in providing support to resolve system issues, collaborating with functional consultants and end-users effectively. Performance tuning will be another critical area where you will play a key role. You will conduct system performance tuning, optimize database performance, and troubleshoot any performance issues in AX 2012 using tools like SQL Server, AOS configuration, and AX performance tools. Furthermore, you will plan and execute data migration processes from legacy systems to AX 2012, utilizing tools like Data Import/Export Framework (DIXF) to facilitate data transformation. Collaboration with functional teams to understand business requirements and translating them into technical solutions will also be an integral part of your responsibilities. Documenting technical processes, including solution designs, configurations, and technical specifications, will be essential. You will ensure that all technical documentation is well-maintained and shared with relevant stakeholders to support effective knowledge transfer. In terms of required skills, you should possess expertise in X++ programming, strong experience in AIF, skilled in SSRS reporting, experience in data migration, a strong understanding of SQL Server, familiarity with MorphX development environment, and proven experience in system performance optimization at both the application and database levels. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with at least 6 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 development. Experience with at least one full lifecycle AX implementation and knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O will be advantageous. A good understanding of ERP processes across modules like Finance, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills, are also essential. Preferred certifications include Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Development Introduction, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Installation and Configuration, and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Trade and Logistics.
