Role Description We are seeking an experienced Quality Head to lead our Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) function at our electronics manufacturing plant. This senior leadership role requires a blend of strategic oversight, process ownership, and deep technical expertise in electronics manufacturing processes . You will be responsible for driving zero-failure quality standards , ensuring end-to-end process compliance, and establishing strong systems for field data collection, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions . The role involves leading a team of quality engineers while working closely with production, R&D, and customer support teams. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Oversight Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of quality engineers. Establish a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across the plant. Quality Systems & Standards Own the overall quality strategy, ensuring compliance with ISO, IEC, and industry standards . Drive process standardization, audits, and certifications. Define, track, and improve process capability indices and quality KPIs. Product Reliability & Field Data Analysis Collect and analyze product failure data from the field, identifying recurring issues. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA). Ensure systematic closure of field complaints with minimal recurrence. Manufacturing Process Quality Oversee incoming material inspection, in-process checks, and final product validation. Implement quality control plans for SMT, PCB assembly, and end-product testing. Deploy tools such as FMEA, Six Sigma, and 8D Problem Solving . Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with R&D to incorporate manufacturability and reliability into new product designs. Partner with Production to improve yield, reduce rework, and minimize customer returns. Engage with suppliers to ensure quality of components and sub-assemblies. Required Skills & Experience 10+ years in quality management for electronics manufacturing , with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Strong technical knowledge of PCB assembly, SMT, soldering processes, electronic testing & validation . Experience in root cause analysis, failure data analysis, and field complaint management . Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IEC standards relevant to electronics manufacturing. Proficiency in quality methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, 5S). Hands-on experience with quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, CAPA . B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Should have experience creating SOP for processes in SMT line and implementing MES system Nice-to-Have (Bonus Skills) Already heading Quality department in an Electronics Manufacturing company near Faridabad Exposure to automotive/energy/industrial electronics manufacturing quality systems. Certification in Six Sigma Black Belt / Lead Auditor (ISO 9001) . Experience with automation in quality testing and data-driven analytics.
