Job Summary: The Senior Ticketing Consultant is responsible for overseeing and executing end-to-end airline ticketing and travel arrangements for individual and corporate clients. This role requires in-depth knowledge of global distribution systems (GDS), fare rules, and ticketing procedures, along with excellent customer service and problem-solving skills. The senior consultant will also mentor junior staff and assist in maintaining quality control within the ticketing function. Key Responsibilities: Handle complex domestic and international ticketing using GDS (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, or Travelport). Issue, reissue, and refund tickets in compliance with airline fare rules and policies. Provide expert advice on fare calculations, itinerary planning, and travel documentation. Liaise with airlines for fare negotiation, booking queries, and group bookings. Manage bookings for high-profile or corporate clients, ensuring seamless travel arrangements. Support junior consultants with technical ticketing issues and training. Monitor and manage queues, waitlists, schedule changes, and cancellations. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company and industry standards. Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure an exceptional client experience. Stay up to date with airline policies, fare updates, travel restrictions, and market trends. Qualifications and Skills: Diploma or degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field. Certification in GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, etc.). Minimum 5 years of experience in airline ticketing or travel consultancy. Strong understanding of fare construction, IATA rules, and ticket auditing. Excellent customer service and communication skills. High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent requests efficiently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and travel management software. Preferred: Experience with corporate travel management or TMCs. Knowledge of BSP (Billing and Settlement Plan) procedures. Familiarity with NDC (New Distribution Capability) systems.
