1 Inventory Management • Maintain accurate records of receipts, issues, and stock levels for raw materials, spare parts, consumables, and finished goods. • Ensure FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and proper storage as per material specifications. • Conduct regular physical stock checks and reconcile with the ERP/Inventory Management System. • Report stock variances and investigate discrepancies. 2 Material Handling & Storage • Receive incoming materials — inspect quality, quantity, and condition as per purchase order and specifications. • Label, bin, and store materials systematically to avoid damage, deterioration, or misplacement. • Ensure proper stacking, safe handling, and easy retrieval of stock items. • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the store area. 3 Issue & Dispatch • Issue materials to production and service teams against approved requisitions. • Prepare proper issue slips/challans for traceability. • Coordinate with the dispatch team for packing and delivery of finished goods. • Ensure timely handover of materials to transport/logistics partners. 4 Documentation & Reporting • Maintain GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), Issue Slips, Stock Registers, and other statutory records. • Update daily stock position and submit reports to the SCM Manager/Plant Head. • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual stock audits. • Maintain documentation for ISO/BIS or other statutory compliance if applicable. 5 Coordination & Communication • Coordinate with Purchase, Production, QA/QC, Accounts, and Logistics teams for smooth operations. • Follow up with suppliers for short supplies, excesses, or damage claims. • Ensure timely disposal or return of rejected/obsolete materials as per company policy. 6 Compliance & Safety • Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety standards, and statutory requirements. • Follow EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) guidelines inside the store. • Maintain fire safety equipment, PPE usage, and housekeeping. 7 Other Duties • Support stock optimization initiatives — space utilization, cost control, and waste minimization. • Suggest process improvements for better inventory control. • Assist in implementation of ERP modules and digital stock tracking.
