Key Responsibilities: Design and develop electrical schematics, general arrangement (GA) drawings, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical. Prepare single-line diagrams (SLD), internal wiring diagrams, and external wiring details for control panels. Select appropriate electrical components such as MCBs, MCCBs, relays, contactors, PLCs, terminal blocks, power supplies, etc., based on load and functional requirements. Create complete technical documentation including: a. Bill of Materials (BOM) b. Terminal and cable schedules c. Wiring plans d. Component layout drawings Ensure designs adhere to IS/IEC standards and meet project or customer specifications. Interpret client-provided IO lists, SLDs, and technical specifications to prepare accurate drawings. Collaborate with the production, procurement, and project teams to ensure proper execution and assembly of panels. Revise and update drawings based on design feedback or client revisions, maintaining version control. Support in preparing drawings for electrical panels used in automation systems, MCC panels, control desks, and PLC panels. Skills & Competencies: Strong command of AutoCAD Electrical and standard drafting practices. Good understanding of electrical symbols, control wiring standards, and component layout planning. Ability to read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams, panel interlock circuits, and safety loops. Basic knowledge of PLC I/O mapping, control logic circuits, and instrumentation panel design is an added advantage. Capable of optimizing space management within panels and ensuring ease of wiring and maintenance. Familiarity with electrical load calculations and component selection for LT control panels.
