You are a highly creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer (Ethnic Wear) with proven experience in the garment manufacturing industry. Your role involves having a strong understanding of Indian ethnic wear, fabric sourcing, and production feasibility, along with the ability to lead design development from concept to final sample. - Research market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor collections in ethnic wear. - Design and develop innovative collections - Ethnic Wear styles. - Prepare mood boards, sketches, CAD designs, and technical sheets. - Work closely with the sampling, embroidery, and production teams to execute designs. - Suggest fabric choices, trims, embroidery techniques, and ornamentation. - Ensure cost-effectiveness and production viability of designs. - Supervise fittings and make necessary alterations for perfect finishing. - Build vendor and supplier networks for sourcing materials. - Mentor junior designers/trainees in the team. Qualifications & Skills: - Degree/Diploma in Fashion Designing or Textile Designing. - 5 years of proven experience in ethnic wear design within a garment manufacturing setup. - Strong portfolio showcasing ethnic collections. - Proficiency in design software (CorelDRAW, Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD tools). - Deep knowledge of traditional and modern fabrics, embroidery, and embellishments. - Strong visualization, creativity, and market awareness. - Ability to handle deadlines and work with production constraints. You must have expertise in Value Addition Techniques such as: - Schiffli embroidery - Multihead embroidery - Prints (Pure & Polyester fabrics) - Handwork / Surface Ornamentation - Jacquard suits In addition to the above, you will have the opportunity to lead ethnic wear collections, gain exposure to domestic & international buyer requirements, enjoy a competitive salary package, and have a clear path for career growth to senior design roles.,
