Mobile Automation Test Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Automation Test Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Appium and Pytest to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for mobile applications. The ideal candidate should have experience in mobile application testing across Android and iOS platforms, Python programming, test automation framework development, and continuous integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mobile automation test scripts using

  Appium and Pytest

  .
• Automate functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end test cases for mobile applications.
• Perform mobile application testing on Android and iOS devices.
• Develop and maintain reusable automation frameworks using Python.
• Identify, analyze, troubleshoot, and report application defects.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines.
• Execute tests on real devices, emulators, and simulators.
• Analyze test execution reports and provide actionable feedback to development teams.
• Collaborate with developers, manual testers, and other stakeholders to improve product quality.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, test planning, and test strategy discussions.
• Maintain test scripts, test data, documentation, and automation reports.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with

  Appium mobile automation

• Good programming knowledge in

• Experience with

  Pytest

  for test execution, fixtures, parameterization, and reporting.
• Experience in mobile application testing for Android and/or iOS.
• Knowledge of mobile automation framework design and development.
• Experience with XPath, accessibility IDs, UI selectors, and element identification.
• Understanding of REST APIs and API testing.
• Experience with Git and version control.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with debugging automation failures and analyzing logs.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Appium 2.x.
• Knowledge of Android SDK, ADB commands, and Xcode tools.
• Experience with cloud-based device testing platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
• Familiarity with HTML test reports, Allure, or similar reporting tools.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Exposure to performance testing or security testing is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in mobile application testing and automation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
