Peach Blocks is a bootstrapped AI research startup focused on cutting-edge machine learning, computer vision, and robotics applications. Founded by IIT and NIT alumni with industry experience, we're building innovative solutions in LLM fine-tuning, edge deployment, and sensor fusion. Our team works on real-world AI problems with access to high-performance GPU infrastructure (RTX 5090, 4070, 3070) for training and fine-tuning models up to 8B parameters. We're committed to publishing research, contributing to open-source, and mentoring the next generation of AI researchers. As a self-funded startup, we prioritize investment in computational resources and research infrastructure to push the boundaries of AI innovation.
This is a remote research internship (3-6 months) where you'll work directly with our founding team on cutting-edge AI projects across three tracks: ML Research (LLM Fine-Tuning for multilingual applications), Computer Vision (edge deployment on Jetson/mobile platforms), or Robotics & Sensor Fusion (multimodal systems for vision-language models). You'll participate in weekly assignments and review sessions, contribute to research, and gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art tools like PyTorch, Transformers, ONNX, TensorRT, and ROS. This internship is designed for students seeking research experience and portfolio development, with opportunities for technical blog writing, open-source contributions, and potential full-time positions for top performers after graduation.
Currently enrolled as an engineering student (2nd year preferred) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Physics-related streams
Strong foundational knowledge in matrices, partial differential equations (PDEs), and vectors at engineering level
IIT JEE mathematics and physics scores (to gauge mathematical aptitude and basic foundation which is critical to be successful in the internship)
Proficiency in Python programming
Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar ML frameworks (bonus skill)
For CV role: Knowledge of OpenCV, ONNX, TensorRT, and model optimization (bonus skill)
For Robotics role: Familiarity with C++ and ROS(bonus skill)
For LLM role: Understanding of Transformers, Hugging Face, and fine-tuning techniques (LoRA/QLoRA)(bonus skill)
Self-motivated with ability to work independently with guidance and mentorship
Strong problem-solving skills, time management skills and eagerness to learn
Ability to commit 3-6 months with flexible hours that accommodate college schedule
