Job Description – Journalist Intern (Mission 7374 Foundation) Location: Gurugram Duration: 6 months (Full-time Internship) Stipend: Rs 10,000 per month Reporting To: Digital Systems Consultant About Mission 7374 Foundation Mission 7374 Foundation is a civic reform and citizen engagement initiative working to make Gurugram a better governed, more transparent, and community-driven city. The Foundation focuses on urban issues such as roads, water, waste, transport, and citizen participation. We are building a local media and storytelling ecosystem to amplify civic issues through daily coverage of RWAs, citizen meetings, and the Shakti Yatra — a 150+ meeting campaign connecting Gurugram’s residents. Role Overview As a Journalist Intern, you will be the on-ground storyteller for Gurugram’s civic life. You will attend RWA and citizen meetings, interact with residents, cover stories of urban infrastructure, and create short-form content (reels, photos, interviews) for social media platforms. Your work will directly contribute to building Gurugram’s first citizen-driven civic media network under the Mission 7374 Foundation. Key Responsibilities · Attend and cover daily RWA / citizen meetings during the ongoing Shakti Yatra in Gurugram. · Identify, research, and report 1–2 civic issue stories every day (e.g., waste management, traffic, waterlogging, road repair, etc.). · Conduct short interviews with RWA leaders, residents, and citizens. · Capture photos, short videos, and soundbites suitable for social media (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, X posts). · Write short captions or summaries in simple Hindi/English for each story. · Post content on personal handles branded as “Name | Mission 7374 Reporter” and tag the official Mission 7374 Foundation accounts. · Upload raw footage, captions, and links daily to a shared Google Drive. · Participate in weekly review calls and share feedback from the field. Role Overview We are looking for a skilled and creative Video Editor who can bring stories to life through dynamic short-form and long-form video content. The editor will work with our journalist interns and digital strategy team to create reels, interviews, and campaign videos that reflect the Foundation’s vision and energy. This is a full-time, on-site position at our Sarita Vihar, Delhi office. Key Responsibilities Edit short-form videos (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook posts) from on-ground footage. Produce long-form videos (2–5 mins) for campaigns, interviews, and public events. Add subtitles, transitions, background music, and brand templates to ensure visual consistency.
