1. Sales Planning & Strategy Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with national sales goals. Set monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for distributors, sales officers, and territory managers. Analyze market potential and identify high-demand zones, product opportunities, and gaps . 2. Distributor Management Appoint, evaluate, and manage C&F agents, super-stockists, and distributors . Monitor inventory, credit limits, stock rotation , and fill rates at distributors. 3. Team Leadership & Field Execution Lead and mentor Sales Officers (SO), Territory Sales In-charges (TSI), Area Sales Managers (ASM) . Conduct joint field visits, coaching, and performance reviews. Drive proper market coverage, beat planning, and execution discipline . 4. Channel Development Manage General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), Horeca (Hotels, Restaurants, Catering), and Institutional sales (bakeries, food processors). Strengthen relationships with key accounts, retail chains, and wholesalers. 5. Market Intelligence & Competition Tracking Track competitor activities: pricing, schemes, packaging changes, promotions, and new launches. Share regular feedback with marketing, production, and management teams. 6. Trade Marketing & Promotions Execute consumer and trade promotions , sampling drives, retailer schemes, and festival-specific campaigns. Ensure availability of POS materials , branding, and in-store visibility. Coordinate with marketing for regional BTL activities. 7. Supply Chain Coordination Work with production and logistics teams to ensure forecasting accuracy , product availability, and timely deliveries. Manage SKU-wise demand planning , considering price-sensitive fluctuations common in edible oil markets. 8. Financial Control Monitor sales budgets, trade spends, claims , and overheads allocated to the region. Ensure timely collections and credit control . Maintain distributor aging, outstanding payments, and profit margins. 9. Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure adherence to companys policies regarding packaging standards, food safety norms , branding guidelines, and pricing. Be alert to issues like leakages, adulteration concerns, or tampering in the supply chain. 10. Reporting & Analytics Provide daily/weekly/monthly reports on sales performance, competition activities, secondary/primary sales, and KPI updates. Use data tools/CRM for forecasting, territory coverage, and productivity tracking. 11. New Market Development Identify and launch operations in untapped rural and urban markets .
