We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer with experience in the material handling system manufacturing industry to ensure product quality, compliance with industry standards, and continuous improvement in production processes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail. Quality Control & Assurance: Develop and implement quality control procedures for material handling systems. Conduct inspections and audits of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products. Ensure compliance with ISO, ASME, ANSI, and other relevant quality standards. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). 2. Testing & Validation: Oversee mechanical, structural, and functional testing of material handling equipment. Validate product performance against design specifications. Coordinate with third-party testing agencies for certifications. 3. Process Improvement: Identify quality gaps in manufacturing processes and recommend improvements. Work with production teams to reduce defects and enhance efficiency. Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. 4. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed quality records, inspection reports, and non-conformance logs. Prepare quality performance reports for management review. Ensure proper documentation for customer audits and regulatory compliance. 5. Supplier & Customer Collaboration: Evaluate supplier quality and conduct vendor audits. Address customer quality complaints and provide technical resolutions. Support sales and engineering teams in quality-related customer discussions. Required Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of material handling systems (conveyors, AS/RS, cranes, lifts, etc.). Proficiency in quality tools (FMEA, SPC, PPAP, MSA, Control Plans). Experience with metrology tools (CMM, calipers, micrometers, gauges). Familiarity with welding, machining, and fabrication processes . Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other quality management systems . Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone) skills. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP systems. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
