Role Overview We are seeking a dependable and proactive Sales Administrator to support our growing sales operations team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth backend operations, enabling our sales executives to focus on high-impact business development. You'll help maintain structured workflows, manage CRM records, coordinate calls, support invoicing, and contribute to process improvement initiatives across the team. This position is ideal for someone with strong problem-solving skills, a ?can-do? mindset, and the ability to adapt quickly to evolving sales priorities and client needs. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and update records in the CRM, ensuring lead, contact, and opportunity data are accurate and current. Support daily sales activities including follow-up tasks, call scheduling, and calendar coordination. Assist with the preparation of proposals, quotes, and invoicing in collaboration with internal departments. Coordinate with operations, sales, and marketing teams to ensure timely delivery of client-facing materials. Build an in-depth understanding of clients operations across verticals. Support internal documentation management, and sales activity reporting. Regularly participate in new team initiatives and projects aimed at improving sales team efficiency. Develop strong internal knowledge of Mercom?s product offerings to better serve clients. Proactively address sales team needs with a problem-solving approach to streamline bottlenecks and improve turnaround times. Requirements 1?3 years of experience in a sales coordination or administrative support role. Proficiency with sales CRM platforms, Microsoft Office. Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through with accuracy. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Willingness to go beyond routine responsibilities to resolve issues quickly and efficiently. Excellent attention to detail. Team Player. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to clean energy, media or research industries a plus. Familiarity with workflow software tools. Candidate must have strong hiring skills and manage the end-to-end recruitment process Identifying candidates through job portals, existing database, job postings, LinkedIn, and other job boards (Naukri.com, LinkedIn, and Indeed) Experienced in all aspects of recruiting, including requirement gathering, sourcing, resume evaluation, phone screening, interviewing, salary negotiation, and extending offers. Designing and implementing the overall recruiting strategy to maximize growth Implement and use the latest HR technologies and processes Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management. Assessing training needs and developing learning initiatives for employees. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
