Merchandising Manager - PD

As a Product Development Manager at our leading High Fashion Export House in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, specializing in luxury apparel and accessories for international markets, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing our sample development process to ensure a seamless execution from concept to final product. Your primary responsibility will be managing the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept to delivery, by driving the development and execution of merchandising strategies in alignment with the expectations of international buyers. Your expertise in high fashion garment development will be pivotal in maintaining our reputation for delivering exceptional quality. You will lead and oversee the sample development process, ensuring precision and adherence to design expectations, while managing the end-to-end merchandise planning process, including costing and pricing strategies. Collaborating closely with designers, suppliers, and production teams will be essential to ensure timely product delivery, along with working with embroidery artisans and manufacturers to develop intricate hand and machine embroidery pieces. It will be crucial to ensure that all developments align with international high-fashion standards and trends. Additionally, you will play a key role in leading and mentoring a team of merchandise coordinators and assistants, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the organization. To excel in this role, you must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in merchandising, with at least 5 years in a Department Head role, along with expertise in Sampling Manufacturing, Garment Manufacturing Technical Knowledge, and extensive experience in hand and machine embroidery garments. Strong costing expertise with a deep understanding of pricing structures is also a must, along with proven experience working with European high-fashion brands and in-depth knowledge of global fashion trends and product development cycles. Excellent English communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. A degree in Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Production, or a related field is preferred.
