Role Overview: Tap Health, a deep tech startup, is looking for a Freelance Diabetes Consultant to shape diabetes care in a real tech product. As a consultant, you will advise and collaborate with the product team to develop and refine clinical protocols for Tap Health's autonomous AI-driven diabetes therapeutic. This freelance role offers flexibility in working hours and remote work options with fixed hourly compensation. Key Responsibilities: - Co-create and review protocol logic for onboarding, triage, glucose feedback, medications, lifestyle, and follow-ups - Translate guidelines into clear decision flows, state machines, and safety guardrails - Define red flags, escalation paths, and safe boundaries for automated advice - Advise on data capture, outcome measures, and patient education content - Conduct periodic audits, identify failure modes, and recommend iterative fixes in collaboration with the product and engineering teams Qualifications Required: - MD in Internal Medicine or DM/DNB in Endocrinology - Minimum 8 years of clinical experience managing Type 2 diabetes - Strong working knowledge of ADA, IDF, RSSDI, and ICMR guidelines - Deep understanding of lifestyle interventions, CGM interpretation, and risk stratification - Ability to translate clinical standards into actionable specifications and flowcharts - Proficient in clear writing and comfortable collaborating with designers, engineers, and data scientists Additional Details: Tap Health's flagship diabetes digital therapeutic offers real-time, personalized guidance tailored to users" habits, psychology, and health data.
