Medical Engineer

Support patient diagnosis and treatment through the installation, testing, calibration, and repair of biomedical equipment. Provide training to users and ensure safe operations. Approve new equipment by conducting tests, ensuring compliance with codes, and making necessary modifications. Install new equipment by setting up, adjusting, calibrating, and testing its performance. Maintain equipment by following preventive maintenance schedules, conducting tests, troubleshooting, and repairing malfunctions. Coordinate special equipment service, assess service contracts, and monitor equipment inventories. Guide biomedical equipment operation by offering demonstrations, training healthcare staff on equipment usage and maintenance, and addressing queries. Assess potential equipment by performing tests and evaluations. Enhance equipment performance by examining machine-patient interactions, consulting with equipment users, proposing modifications, and collaborating with manufacturers. Manage supplies inventory by monitoring stock levels, forecasting requirements, placing orders, expediting delivery, and verifying receipt.
