Role Overview: As a Medical Coder - Surgery at Pacific BPO, an Access Healthcare company, you will play a crucial role in accurately assigning diagnosis and CPT codes for medical records related to surgeries. You will be responsible for maintaining high accuracy levels, exceeding productivity standards, and focusing on continuous improvement to ensure compliance with coding standards and prevent revenue leakage. Key Responsibilities: - Code medical records for surgeries using ICD-10 and CPT-4 systems with a minimum accuracy of 96% and within specified turnaround time - Exceed productivity standards for Medical Coding in Surgery, adhering to inpatient and specialty-specific outpatient coding norms - Uphold professional and ethical standards while focusing on continuous improvement projects to prevent revenue leakage and ensure compliance - Update coding skills and knowledge by actively participating in coding team meetings and educational conferences Qualifications Required: - Graduates in life sciences with 1 - 4 years of experience in Medical Coding for Surgery specialty - Must have experience in Surgery coding and exposure to CPT-4, ICD-9, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding - CCS/CPC/CPC-H/CIC/COC certification from AAPC/AHIMA would be advantageous - Freshers with strong knowledge in medical terminology, Human Anatomy, and Physiology are encouraged to apply - Must possess current and valid proof of certifications for Medical Coding - Good understanding of medical coding and billing systems, regulatory requirements, auditing concepts, and principles Please note that Pacific BPO is an Access Healthcare company that values your contribution and offers opportunities for growth and development in the healthcare industry.
