Role Overview: As a Medical Coder at LexiCode, you will be part of a dynamic team of coding experts dedicated to providing exceptional coding services to clients. Your main responsibility will involve accurately assigning medical codes in compliance with coding guidelines and regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Thoroughly review and analyze medical records to identify relevant diagnoses & procedures. - Accurately assign medical codes to reflect clinical documentation precisely. - Ensure the accuracy and integrity of coded data. - Stay updated on evolving coding guidelines, regulations, and industry best practices through continuous research. - Actively participate in coding audits and quality improvement initiatives to maintain and enhance coding accuracy standards. - Maintain productivity levels while meeting established coding quality and efficiency benchmarks. - Uphold strict patient confidentiality and privacy standards in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Qualifications Required: - Possession of AHIMA credentials (CCS) or AAPC credentials (CPC, CIC). - Minimum 1 year of experience in coding Outpatient Surgery / Observations. - Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-CM, CPT, and/or HCPCS codes, along with comprehensive knowledge of guidelines and conventions. - Competence in using coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. - Strong analytical aptitude to interpret complex medical documentation accurately. - Detail-oriented approach to ensure precision and accuracy in all coding assignments. - Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals.,
