Role: Surgery Medical Coder – Neurology or Cardio

Qualification: Bachelor’s / Master’s in Life Science, Paramedical, Nursing, or related fields

Experience: 1 to 6 years

Certification: CPC / AAPC / AHIMA – Mandatory

Location: Chennai – WFO

Shift: Morning Shift

Notice Period: Immediate to Maximum 60 Days

Key Responsibilities:

Review and analyze Neurology and Cardio surgery operative reports to assign accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes.

Ensure all codes are assigned based on the latest AAPC / AHIMA and payer-specific coding guidelines.

Maintain high standards of coding accuracy and productivity for surgical charts.

Identify missing or unclear documentation and query physicians when necessary for clarification.

Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with internal and external audit standards.

Keep up to date with coding updates, regulations, and specialty-specific guidelines.

Collaborate with QA teams and leads to resolve coding discrepancies.

Maintain confidentiality of patient health information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the coding process.
