Mechanical Engineer - Treatment Plants

As a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Water projects, you will be responsible for various design tasks related to waste water and desalination projects. Your role will involve preparing equipment layout and civil outline drawings, piping material specifications, and hydraulic calculations. You will also be involved in preparing RFQs for both Bought out and Package items, along with technical datasheets for equipment. Additionally, you will coordinate with vendors, consultants, and clients for approvals, conduct line sizing and pipe wall thickness calculations, and design fabrication skid drawings. Collaboration with other disciplines such as Process, Civil, Electrical, and Instrumentation is essential for successful project delivery. Your responsibilities will also include managing design risks, promoting Health & Safety practices, and ensuring adherence to company procedures. Post project reviews, identification of system improvements, and software proficiency in AutoCAD P&ID, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Office tools are key aspects of this role. To be considered, you should hold a BE or M Tech in Mechanical Engineering, possess relevant professional qualifications, and have a good understanding of project commercial issues and constraints. Experience with design software like AutoCAD, OpenPlant PID, and SmartPlant P&ID is desired.
