Job Description

As an OMS Engineer at UST, you will utilize your strong product design experience in Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing processes to work with global teams in designing sub systems/systems of process chambers used in the semiconductor equipment industry. Your key responsibilities will include problem identification, coordinating engineering test reports, developing mechanical engineering concepts/layouts, providing solutions to various engineering problems, and conducting engineering analysis with limited supervision. You will be expected to have experience in materials selection such as quartz, SiC, and O-rings, as well as an understanding of pyrometry in high-temperature and vacuum/ATM CVD semiconductor reactors. Additionally, your role will involve product design and drafting of Machined/Structural/fabricated/Sheet metal components using CAD tools, performing simple FEA problems/hand calculations, and technically leading/engineering projects. Demonstrating expertise in mechanical engineering design, you should possess knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T/ASME standards, Tolerance Stackup, FMECA, Materials & Manufacturing processes, DFM, DFS, DFX, Heat Transfer, UG NX & TCE, Auto CAD, CREO/windchill, and Finite Element Analysis. Furthermore, a good understanding of materials such as ferrous & non-ferrous metals, Ceramics, and materials used in the Semiconductor domain is essential. With a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 8-10 years of experience (preferably with a Master's degree), you should have previous work experience in mechanical engineering within a product development and manufacturing environment, preferably in the semiconductor equipment industry. Knowledge in Vacuum Sciences would be advantageous for this role. At UST, we value humility, humanity, and integrity.
