Job Description

About Veridia Labs

Veridia Labs Private Limited is a precision medicine and multi-omics company helping hospitals, clinical labs and pharma companies turn data from many sources into meaningful insight. Our promise is Decode. Diagnose. Deliver.: we bring global molecular diagnostics technologies to Indian labs, and back every installation with application and bioinformatics support from qPCR to NGS.

Veridia is a DPIIT-recognised, MSME-registered startup with a presence in Bengaluru and Delhi. We are building a lean, high-ownership commercial team, and our Account Managers are its front line. Learn more at www.veridialabs.in.

Role summary

You will own Veridia's molecular diagnostics revenue in your territory across three therapy areas: infectious diseases, reproductive health and oncology. You will win new accounts, grow existing ones and manage channel partners, selling a portfolio that spans real-time PCR assays and instruments, syndromic sample-to-answer panels, STR/fragment-analysis kits and nucleic acid extraction and sample-prep solutions. You will work closely with our Field Applications Specialists to convert evaluations into installed, recurring-reagent accounts.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the territory number. Deliver quarterly and annual revenue targets across instruments and consumables, with a focus on recurring reagent pull-through.
  • Build and work the account map. Cover hospital labs, diagnostic chains, IVF and fertility centres, cancer hospitals, transplant and haematology units, and forensic and research labs.
  • Win institutional business. Build relationships with government hospitals, medical colleges and research institutes; track GeM and institutional tenders and coordinate bids with dealer partners.
  • Run the sales cycle end to end. Prospect, qualify, present, run evaluations and demos with the applications team, negotiate, close and hand over to installation.
  • Launch new assays. Introduce new infectious-disease, reproductive-health and oncology assays to clinicians, KOLs and lab directors, including placing evaluation kits and gathering early user feedback.
  • Manage channel partners. Appoint, enable and review dealers; set joint targets and track funnel and stock.
  • Keep the CRM honest. Maintain an accurate funnel, visit plan and forecast; submit weekly reports and join the weekly commercial review.
  • Bring the market back in. Share competitor pricing, tender outcomes, customer needs and product gaps with leadership and the applications team.

What you bring

  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
  • 3–6 years of field sales in molecular diagnostics or IVD, with at least 2 years selling qPCR, molecular or genomics products.
  • A solid understanding of the Indian molecular diagnostics landscape: key technologies (qPCR, syndromic panels, fragment analysis, sample prep), competing players, pricing and reimbursement dynamics.
  • Working knowledge of the customers and testing needs in each therapy area:
  • Infectious diseases: microbiology and molecular labs, hospital infection control, syndromic and respiratory testing, STI and viral load testing
  • Reproductive health: IVF and fertility centres, gynaecologists and obstetricians, vaginal microbiome and HPV testing
  • Oncology: oncologists, haemato-oncology and transplant units, cancer hospitals, mutation and chimerism testing
  • An existing network among lab directors, microbiologists, pathologists, clinicians and procurement teams in your territory.
  • A track record of meeting targets and closing instrument-plus-reagent deals.
  • Experience managing dealers or distributors, and hands-on experience with GeM and institutional tenders.
  • Comfort explaining assay performance, workflow and cost-per-test to scientific and commercial buyers.
  • Fluency in the languages listed for your location; valid driving licence and willingness to travel 60%+ of the time.

Why join

  • Early-team role in a fast-growing company with direct access to the founders.
  • A broad, differentiated portfolio with clear clinical value.
  • Real ownership of a territory and room to grow into a regional leadership role.
  • Competitive fixed pay plus performance incentives.
