Skills & Requirements Deep knowledge of leather goods supply chains and QA standards . Experience with third-party audits or scoring-based vetting systems. Ability to manage MOUs, contracts, and compliance paperwork. Strong communication and negotiation skills for engaging manufacturers and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Manufacturer Sourcing & Partnerships Identify and build relationships with family-owned premium/luxury leather goods manufacturers ready to scale globally. Secure commitments (Letters of Intent) from at least 10 leather manufacturers within 3 months . Develop secondary relationships with high-potential textile manufacturers as needed. Compliance & Vetting Establish a dual-process vetting system (manual evaluation + third-party services) to assess manufacturers on quality, compliance, and scalability. Lead QA and compliance audits for leather goods (material sourcing, finishing, ethical standards). Manage MOU drafting, contracts, and documentation to formalize partnerships. Leather Product Development Support Collaborate with manufacturers on product development processes for handbags, footwear, jackets, and small leather goods . Advise on international quality standards, finishing, and buyer expectations. Ensure smooth execution of sampling, prototyping, and production for global markets. Market Navigation & Strategy Monitor global tariff shifts, compliance regulations, and sourcing challenges impacting leather exports .
