Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and mature Accounts Manager to lead the accounting function, oversee end-to-end financial operations, ensure statutory compliance, and strengthen internal controls. The role requires not only strong technical accounting expertise but also leadership capabilities to guide, mentor, and build an efficient accounts team while providing accurate financial insights to management for informed decision-making. Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Management & Reporting - Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. - Maintain accurate books of accounts, ledgers, and supporting schedules. - Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing of accounts. - Monitor cash flow, working capital, budgeting, and forecasting. - Prepare MIS reports, variance analysis, and financial summaries for management. 2. Accounts Payable & Receivable - Oversee vendor payments, purchase invoices, and expense verification. - Ensure timely payments to vendors and service providers. - Monitor customer receivables and follow up for collections. - Maintain ageing analysis and conduct periodic account reconciliations. 3. Statutory Compliance & Audit - Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory requirements. - Prepare and file statutory returns within prescribed timelines. - Coordinate and support internal, statutory, tax, and GST audits. - Maintain proper documentation for audits and regulatory inspections. - Assist in responding to notices from tax authorities and regulators. 4. Banking & Treasury Management - Handle bank reconciliations and fund transfers. - Manage loan accounts, overdraft facilities, and interest calculations. - Coordinate with banks for credit facilities, renewals, and documentation. - Monitor banking transactions and ensure effective cash planning. 5. Inventory & Cost Control - Verify stock records in coordination with stores and operations teams. - Assist in inventory valuation, reconciliation, and consumption analysis. - Support cost analysis and implementation of cost control measures. 6. Payroll & Employee Payments - Oversee salary processing, reimbursements, incentives, and deductions. - Ensure timely statutory payments related to payroll compliances. - Maintain accurate employee payroll and financial records. 7. Leadership, Team Management & Coordination - Lead, mentor, and supervise the accounts and finance team. - Allocate work, set priorities, and ensure adherence to timelines. - Review work done by team members to ensure accuracy and compliance. - Provide on-the-job training and guidance to enhance team capability. - Foster a culture of accountability, ethics, and continuous improvement. - Coordinate effectively with management, auditors, vendors, customers, and consultants. 8. MIS, Controls & Process Improvement - Provide periodic MIS reports and financial insights to management. - Support management in decision-making through financial analysis. - Implement and monitor accounting systems (Tally / ERP). - Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and documentation. - Identify process gaps and drive automation and process improvements. Skills & Competencies - Strong leadership and people management skills - Excellent working knowledge of Tally / ERP systems - Proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis - High attention to detail and accuracy - Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle pressure - High integrity and compliance-oriented mindset
