About the Team
The Managing Director - India role is part of the APJ Sales Leadership team at Nutanix, which is dedicated to driving revenue growth and establishing strong business relationships across South-East Asia. We are looking for a true "growth leader" to build an exceptional team culture, elevate our brand in the region, and consistently exceed sales targets while building lasting partnerships with customers and partners.

You will report directly to the VP of Sales - APJ, who is known for his strong leadership skills and commitment to developing a high-performing sales organization. His leadership style encourages open communication and collaboration, providing team members with the support they need to excel

The role is hybrid, requiring a flexible work setup where the new hire is expected to spend time meeting with customers and partners, alongside hosting team meetings. Regular in-office presence and travel up to 50% travel within India, as well as about 10% of travel outside of region will be essential for team collaboration and market visibility.

• Lead and manage a field sales organisation, including managing first-line and second line sales managers.
• Develop and implement successful sales strategies to drive new business and double-digit revenue growth across the South-East Asia region.
• Capitalise on market tailwinds, specifically focusing on displacing legacy virtualisation solutions and driving the adoption of modern apps and AI.
• Foster a strong, positive, and resilient team culture to enhance Nutanix's employer brand in the region and attract/retain top-tier "A-player" talent.
• Build strong relationships with customers and ecosystem partners through frequent meetings and engagement.
• Conduct regular forecast calls with team members to assess performance and refine sales strategies.
• Collaborate with supporting functions such as marketing and customer success to enhance sales efforts.
• Leverages AI, CRM systems, and data-driven insights to maximise operational efficiency and business outcomes.
• Act as a spokesperson and champion for Nutanix in the region, enhancing brand visibility and reputation.

What You Will Bring

• Minimum 10 years of sales leadership experience in the relevant tech/software industry.
  Strong market network with C-suite executives across at least 2-3 industry verticals.
• Deep understanding of the India enterprise market, specifically regarding legacy virtualization solutions, modern applications, and AI trends.
• Demonstrated success in achieving double-digit revenue growth year over year.
• Proven ability to act as a growth leader, driving high-performing sales organizations through a strong focus on new logo acquisition and market expansion.
• Experience managing a large sales organization, including managing first and second line managers and coaching and leading other functional managers in matrix.
• Strong people leadership qualities, with focus on accountability, sales discipline and high performance within the team.
• Collaborative and growth mindset, with experience in building a strong talent bench and track record in fostering a positive work environment.
• Demonstrated thought leadership and has a good understanding in selling Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.
• Familiarity with CRM and sales software tools such as Salesforce, Aviso and Tableau.
