The responsibilities of this role will include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts such as MSAs (including FLDG arrangements), vendor agreements, service provider contracts, NDAs, procurement and operational documentation. You will be responsible for maintaining contract trackers and document repositories, as well as coordinating with internal stakeholders from compliance, tech, ops, and finance departments for contract inputs. Additionally, you will assist the Legal Head with governance and litigation tracking when needed. You will also play a key role in developing and implementing processes for efficient operations related to contract negotiation and processes, including preparing and maintaining standard form agreements, contract management systems, and other databases. Furthermore, you should be able to lead the communication strategy to ensure consistency across all channels, whether internal or external. Candidates with basic knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as Guidelines of RBI applicable to an NBFC/financial institution will be preferred. It is essential to ensure that company policies and procedures are followed, and that all commercial arrangements align with these policies, other contractual obligations, and applicable laws. Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating general contracts, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), vendor/service provider agreements, NDAs, and similar documents will be advantageous. Legal research skills will be required to provide actionable legal opinions or notes on emerging regulatory changes, industry developments, and strategic projects. In terms of interactions, the role involves proactively engaging with regulatory bodies on policy advocacy and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance and provide guidance on legal matters. Qualifications for this position include being a Law Graduate from a recognized university with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or regulated NBFC, preferably with experience in fintech/banking or general corporate division. Candidates with prior experience in the fintech/banking sector with extensive work on debt transactions will be given preference. Key skills required for this role include drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and closing MSAs (especially FLDG arrangements), IT contracts, and general contracts. Additionally, completion of due diligence exercises, identifying risks, suggesting recommendations, managing counterparts or other advisors on the deal, and drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and closing debt transaction documents such as Facility Agreement, Deed of hypothecation, Debenture trust Deed, Debenture Trustee Agreement, and Deed of Guarantee (NCDs, Term Loans, other debt transactions) would be considered an added bonus.,
