Role Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated professional to support GST and TDS compliance activities. The role involves ensuring timely statutory compliance, handling reconciliations, supporting audits, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and consultants.

Key Responsibilities

• GST Compliance

• Preparation and filing of GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9 and other applicable returns.
• Reconciliation of GST returns with books of accounts.
• Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliation and identification of mismatches.
• Vendor GST compliance review and follow-up for pending issues.
• Assistance in GST assessments, audits, notices, and departmental inquiries.
• Review of GST applicability on transactions and accounting entries.
• Maintenance of GST records, documentation, and compliance tracker.
• Collection of Various documents from various stakeholders for the purpose of GST Refund applications

• TDS Compliance

• Computation, deduction, and timely deposit of TDS under various provisions of the Income-tax Act.
• Preparation and filing of quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, 27Q, etc.).
• Reconciliation of TDS payable with books and Form 26AS/TRACES.
• Generation and issuance of TDS certificates (Form 16/16A).
• Resolution of TDS notices, defaults, and mismatch reports.
• Coordination with employees, vendors, and consultants on withholding tax matters.

General Compliance & Reporting

• Preparation of monthly compliance reports and management MIS.
• Coordination with auditors during statutory, tax, and internal audits.
• Maintenance of statutory documentation and records.
• Support in implementation and improvement of tax compliance processes.
• Liaison with internal finance, payroll, procurement, and business teams.
• Preparation of Audit Schedules for Statutory Audit, Tax Audit with respect to Direct Tax & Indirect Tax matters
• Preparation of schedules, reconciliation statements for GST Audits and department audits
• Co-ordination with Tax consultants for the tax compliance on regular basis

Desired Skills

• Good understanding of GST and TDS provisions.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and ERP systems
• Proficiency in MS Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and basic data analysis.
• Ability to perform reconciliations and identify discrepancies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet compliance deadlines.
