Male Hostel Warden - Young and Energetic

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Male Hostel Warden to join our hostel and ensure the smooth operation and welfare of our hostel residents. As the Male Hostel Warden, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure, and supportive environment for young male students. Responsibilities:

1. Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere within the hostel, promoting a sense of community among residents.

2. Supervise and monitor the behaviour and activities of hostel residents to maintain discipline and adherence to rules and regulations.

3. Handle inquiries, complaints, and conflicts among residents, resolving issues promptly and maintaining a calm and respectful environment.

4. Ensure the safety and security of residents by conducting regular patrols, implementing safety protocols, and addressing any potential hazards or risks.

5. Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of the hostel premises, including common areas, living spaces, and facilities.

6. Keep accurate records of resident details, incidents, and any necessary documentation.

7. Collaborate with the hostel management to develop and implement policies, guidelines, and procedures.

8. The hostel management policy states that taking leave will not be encouraged as it might disrupt the smooth functioning of the hostel.

9. The hostel warden is required to stay back, ensuring the safety and security of the residents.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

2. Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a hostel or student accommodation setting.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with residents, staffs.

4. Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.

5. Physical fitness and stamina to perform regular patrols and handle any emergency situations that may arise.

6. Empathy, patience, and the ability to connect with young individuals.

7. Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency response procedures.

8. Familiarity with computer systems and ability to maintain accurate records.

9. A positive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to the well-being of residents.
