Mahindra International School seeks a dedicated and versatile Permanent Substitute Teacher to support our diverse learning community. This full-time position involves covering classes across all grade levels (EY1, age 3 to DP2, age 18) and subjects when regular teachers are absent. The role is crucial in maintaining continuity of education and supporting the schools mission and vision. Main Responsibilities: How to App Cover classes for absent teachers across all grade levels and subjects Implement lesson plans and instructional materials provided by regular teachers to a diverse age range (3-18 years old) in any subject Maintain a positive and productive learning environment Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs Supervise students during non-classroom time, including playtime duties and hallway monitoring Implement classroom management strategies to ensure student engagement Assist with exam invigilation as needed Contribute to a supportive and inclusive school community Qualifications: Bachelors degree required; Bachelors degree in Education preferred Strong communication skills in English Flexibility and adaptability to various teaching situations and subject areas Experience working with students across different age groups is advantageous Professional Expectations: Exhibit commitment to the Schools Mission and Vision Present a positive image as an ambassador for the school and the IB Model professional behavior, including punctuality and appropriate dress code Work collaboratively as a team member, showing mutual respect to all community members Respect and celebrate the cultural diversity of our community Participate in school events and special programs as needed Ensure familiarity with school handbooks, guidelines, and digital communications Attend necessary activities such as Professional Development Sessions and Staff Workdays
