JD for CEO/Director of Centre of Excellence for Emerging Technologies Job Title: CEO/ Director of Centre of Excellence Location: Gorakhpur, UP Reports To: President Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad, Gorakhpur Employment Type: Full-time A. Position Overview: The CEO/Director will lead the establishment and operationalization of a state-of-the art Centre of Excellence (CoE) at Maharana Pratap Institute of Technology under Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad , Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The role demands a strategic, innovative, and execution focused leader who can shape the vision, develop infrastructure, establish world-class incubation Centre, forge partnerships, and position the CoE as a national and global hub for research, innovation, and technology development in Drone Technology, Space Science, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, 3-D Printing, Power Electronics in Medical Devices. B. Basic Qualifications: 1. Age: Minimum of 35 years & Maximum of 50 years (can be relaxed based on merit) as on the date of the advertisement 2. B.Tech. (CSE/IT) / M.Tech. (Computer Science / IT / Electronics)/ MBA degree preferably with Engineering background. Ph.D. (desirable) from a reputed institute. (Preferably IIT / NIT) 3. Administrative Experience of a minimum of 5 years in any Industry, Research Institution or Incubation Center or Academic (Experience from institute of National Importance). Preference will be given to the candidates who is having working experience in at least one of the emerging technologies i.e. Artificial Intelligence / Cyber Security / Drone / 3D printing & Additive Manufacturing / Space Science. 4. (a) Academic achievements e.g. prestigious fellowships, research grants (b) Facilitate active collaborations with world class academia and industry (c ) Eminent academician, researcher, or industry expert with a strong track record of leadership and innovation. (d) Proven ability to envision, establish, and nurture institutions of excellence. (e) Deep understanding of the Indian education system, industry needs, and global trends. 5. Research & Innovation National Awards for outstanding contributions to science & technology e.g. Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar (SSB) Prize for Science and Technology for young scientists. 6. Honorary Positions * Board Member in companies * Member of various task groups, committees set up by Government * Professional membership/ positions in bodies like IEEE, CSI, ACM etc. * Representation on National & International Standards bodies, working groups etc. *Editorial board member of reputed publications, conference chair/ co-chair, convener etc. Additional Qualifications: 1. Domain Expertise : Possesses thorough knowledge of CoE focus areas (Drone Technology, Space Science, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, 3-D Printing, Power Electronics in Medical Devices). 2. Academic Excellence: Strong academic credentials, with a Ph.D. or equivalent degree from a reputed institution. 3. Research and Innovation: Proven research record, with publications, patents, and awards in their fields. 4. Industry Engagement: Strong connections with industry partners, with experience in collaborative research, consulting, or entrepreneurship. 5. Administrative Experience: Experience in leadership roles, such as department head, dean, or director, with expertise in governance, fin]nance, and human resources for a minimum of 5 years. 6. Should build brand for the institution to be one of the most reputed and cutting edge technology inubation centres for industry, students, and academia. C. Key Expectations: As the founding CEO/Director to build the institute, Set up a very innovative campus to house students and faculty with state-of-the-art facilities, hire eminent faculty members and establish the Centre of excellence in Emerging Technologies viz. Space, Drone, 3D Printing, AI, and Cybersecurity Technologies covering all aspects reflecting a strong research culture and practice ethos. Start, nurture and sustain unique and novel Entrepreneurial programs for students. Innovative academic programs with emphasis on Technology Incubators enable sponsored research funding for faculty and students D. Skills: Strategic Planning : Ability to develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and programs. Institution Building: Expertise in establishing and nurturing institutions, including infrastructure development, faculty recruitment, and student development. Fundraising: Ability to secure funding from Government agencies, industry partners, and philanthropic organizations and make the organization as self-sustainable model over a period Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, industry partners, and government officials A Good team player with interpersonal skills.
