You will be responsible for the development of specific trade lanes or product vertical focus. As a Business Development Manager, you should have a graduate degree, preferably an MBA in Marketing or International Trade, along with 8 to 9 years of experience in a similar industry, which can also be from sectors like Express, Transportation, or Courier. Being computer literate is essential, and you should possess basic communication skills in the local language. Additionally, having knowledge of Air Import, Air Export, Ocean Import, Ocean Export, and Custom Clearance is required. Sales skills are crucial for this role, and having an outgoing personality with a positive attitude is preferred. You should be proactive in serving clients, exhibit patience and persistence, and ensure the commercials are agreed upon by customers. Your duties will include planning, preparing, and meeting customers who have business from the assigned trade lanes or product verticals. You will also need to update customer details in the CRM as part of the sales process and collaborate with Key Account Managers/SMEs for customers with business outside the designated trade lanes/product verticals. Moreover, you will be responsible for ensuring that commercials are clearly agreed upon and accepted by customers, and SOPs are uploaded in the e-room.,
