Loan Servicing Specialist

Location: Bangalore/ Gurgaon Shift: UK Shift

Job Summary

We are looking for candidates with hands-on experience in loan administration and servicing, preferably covering syndicated loans, bank loans, leveraged loans, or institutional lending. The role will support the day-to-day loan lifecycle, including loan booking, drawdowns, rollovers, interest and principal processing, reconciliations, and ongoing servicing activities

Key Responsibilities

• Perform loan booking/set-up and maintain loan details in the loan administration system.
• Process new drawdowns, additional drawdowns, rollovers, repayments and prepayments.
• Process and validate principal, interest, fees and other loan-related cash flows.
• Perform daily principal and interest reconciliation and investigate breaks.
• Calculate/validate interest accruals, rate resets and payment amounts based on applicable loan terms.
• Monitor loan maturity dates, interest payment dates, rollovers and other lifecycle events.
• Process amendments, extensions, rate changes and other loan servicing events.
• Review loan notices and supporting documentation to ensure transactions are processed accurately.
• Perform cash and position reconciliations and investigate discrepancies with relevant counterparties/internal teams.
• Maintain accurate loan records and ensure timely processing within defined SLA/TAT and control requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams, counterparties, agents, trustees/custodians and other stakeholders for resolution of exceptions

Core Competencies

• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with high-volume transactional data.
• Good analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required Qualifications

• 2 - 6 years of experience in Loan Administration / Loan Operations / Loan Servicing / Bank Loan Operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with: o Loan booking o Drawdowns o Rollovers o Principal repayments o Interest calculations and payments o Rate resets o Cash/position reconciliation o Break investigation and resolution
• Understanding of the end-to-end loan lifecycle.
• Comfortable working in a UK shift

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of syndicated loans / leveraged loans / corporate lending would be highly preferred.
• Understanding of loan documentation, including credit agreements and/or indentures, would be an advantage.
