Lighting Design Engineer/Graduate Trainee Engineer

Job Description

Role & responsibilities In coordination with senior lighting design staff perform the following: Determining appropriate design standards and illuminance and uniformity targets based on IES recommendations. Selecting appropriate luminaires and specify these with a luminaire schedule. Creating visual presentations using power point, Bluebeam, InDesign, photoshop, AGI32, or other methods to illustrate design concepts for client meetings. Create luminaire layouts and or perform illuminance calculations using AGI32 software. Draft lighting layouts in Revit or in rare instances AutoCAD. Coordinate Luminaire locations and mounting with architectural drawings and details. Determine appropriate lighting control solutions based on energy code requirements and document the controls in the drawings and IMEGs sequence of operations and zoning schedules. Coordinate with electrical engineering teams on circuiting, emergency lighting, and energy code documentation (ComCheck). Preferred candidate profile Candidates must have cleared all subjects in one attempt. Good English communication is a must. 2D and 3D visualization and design skills. Knowledge of AGI32 lighting software.
