Roles and responsibilities- Review and test localized content for linguistic accuracy, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style. Validate cultural appropriateness and tone for the target market. Perform functional testing of UI elements, in-context reviews, and language display in software or game builds. Log linguistic and functional bugs in a clear, concise manner using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA). Collaborate with localization project managers, translators, and QA engineers to resolve language-related issues. Ensure compliance with glossaries, style guides, and terminology. Conduct linguistic regression testing and provide feedback for improvements. Requirements: Multilingual individual with excellent command of English. Strong understanding of localization principles and linguistic QA processes. Experience with localization tools (e.g., SDL Trados, Translation Console) and bug tracking systems. Familiarity with software/game testing, QA cycles, and Agile environments is a plus. Detail-oriented with excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Language Studies, or related field. Prior experience in linguistic testing or localization QA. Knowledge of internationalization best practices. Passion for language, culture, and technology.
