We are looking for a highly accomplished and strategic Principal Legal Advisor / Senior Litigation Partner to lead and manage the firms litigation practice. The role involves overseeing complex and high-value litigation matters, mentoring a team of lawyers, and driving excellence in client service and legal strategy. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in civil, commercial, corporate, and dispute resolution matters , with deep courtroom experience and strong leadership abilities. Key Responsibilities 1. Client Management Lead client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on litigation strategy and risk management. Manage client meetings, case reviews, and strategic discussions. Handle overall practice budgeting, cost management, and client billing to contribute to firm growth. 2. Case Strategy & Execution Develop litigation strategy across various forums, including civil courts, arbitration, NCLT, RERA, consumer courts, MSME, matrimonial, and IPR disputes . Ensure timely and effective case execution aligned with client objectives. 3. Court Proceedings Supervise appearances, arguments, and filings before courts, tribunals, and arbitral panels. Coordinate with external counsels, experts, and authorities as required. 4. Legal Drafting & Review Draft, review, and finalize pleadings, petitions, applications, written statements, rejoinders, and legal opinions. Review and vet contracts, settlement agreements, and other legal documents as needed. 5. Team Leadership & Mentoring Manage, guide, and mentor a team of lawyers and associates. Allocate matters efficiently, review work quality, and ensure consistent performance. 6. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure adherence to applicable laws, firm policies, and ethical standards. Proactively identify and mitigate legal and procedural risks. Must-Have Qualifications & Skills LL.B. (LL.M. preferred) from a reputed law school. 15+ years of PQE with significant experience in litigation, civil, corporate, and commercial disputes . Proven expertise in managing multiple litigation portfolios independently. Strong drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills . Excellent client handling, leadership, and team management abilities. Sound knowledge of court procedures, arbitration laws, RERA, MSME Act, company law, and IPR frameworks . Business acumen with the ability to align legal strategies with client objectives. Duties & Responsibilities Providing expert advisory on Company Law, FEMA, and LLP Act matters, handling complex issues independently. Managing end-to-end governance compliance for subsidiaries, private/public companies, LLPs, and Section 8 entities. Leading corporate transactions such as private placements, buybacks, and compounding of offences. Building, mentoring, and managing a high-performing team, and creating robust processes and checklists for quality delivery.
