Job Description We are seeking a visionary and experienced Lead Software Engineer - Systems to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad, India. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of large-scale distributed systems that form the backbone of our cutting-edge products. Architect and design scalable, reliable, and high-performance distributed systemsLead a team of talented software engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorshipCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement system requirementsDrive the adoption of best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentationOptimize system performance, scalability, and reliabilityEvaluate and integrate new technologies to improve our systems architectureParticipate in the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deploymentContribute to the development of technical roadmaps and long-term strategiesEnsure adherence to quality standards and delivery timelinesStay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in systems engineering Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a lead roleProven experience in designing and developing large-scale distributed systemsAdvanced programming skills in languages such as C++, Java, or PythonExpertise in system architecture and design principlesProficiency with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)Experience with performance optimization, scalability, and reliability engineeringFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git)Excellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong leadership and communication abilitiesAbility to make decisive technical decisions and guide team members effectivelyRelevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) are a plusDeep understanding of industry trends and emerging technologies in systems engineering Additional Information At Freshworks, we are creating a global workplace that enables everyone to find their true potential, purpose, and passion irrespective of their background, gender, race, sexual orientation, religion and ethnicity.
