Description
We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer in Test specialized in Automation to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in establishing QA and test automation environments, as well as leading the continuous integration and deployment strategies with a DevOps approach. Your responsibilities will include unit and workflow testing of new features, maintaining existing functionality, documenting testing practices, resolving customer issues, managing defects, and overseeing automated tests. Collaboration within a multi-discipline team will be essential to drive feature enhancements and initiatives aimed at improving software quality, stability, reliability, and usability. Your expertise in quality assurance and test automation, combined with a solid understanding of DevOps principles, will be crucial in executing test plans, analyzing results, and identifying defects throughout the software development process. Responsibilities: - Lead the Automation Testing efforts, acting as a Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) - Collaborate with technical staff to implement, deploy, and maintain Automation Testing within CI/CD pipelines - Champion the use of BDD methodologies, such as Specflow, Gherkin, or Cucumber framework, within the teams - Manage tools used in Automation development, including source control, test management, and release systems - Maintain and enhance test infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance - Promote best practices that emphasize engineering excellence and prioritize quality - Define and communicate automation strategies and processes for various components like web services, APIs, middleware, and UI - Evaluate testing tools and frameworks for project suitability, whether commercial, open-source, or proprietary - Develop and execute test plans at the product or code level, both automatically and manually - Implement software test automation tools and standards, building reusable automation frameworks - Optimize automation cycle execution times and minimize manual result analysis - Keep automation practices current, flexible, and compatible with continuous integration/deployment frameworks - Create procedures for generating automation test data and refreshing data as needed - Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and other team members to prioritize effective testing strategies - Recommend dynamic reports and metrics to measure automation efficiency and quality, providing insights for continuous improvement - Share knowledge, mentor teammates, and actively participate in agile team meetings Minimum Qualifications: - 8+ years of experience in Software Testing & Test Automation, with a focus on developing and maintaining automation frameworks - Proven track record of enhancing products/solutions through robust QA processes - Strong technical proficiency in test automation for Web-based applications, particularly using Selenium with Python - Hands-on experience in test automation for Windows-based applications, including WinAppDriver and Appium - Proficiency in Manual Testing and Test Automation methodologies - Solid understanding of OOPs concepts and experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks - Experience in non-functional testing types like performance, API, and security testing - Familiarity with Agile development environments - Knowledge of various Software Architectures and their functionality This is a full-time position with the schedule of the role being Full-time.
