Lead Software Engineer - Full stack

Role Overview: As a Lead Software Engineer at Kerv Digital, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable, full-stack web applications using technologies like Next.js for frontend and Node.js for backend. You will play a key role in building user-centric interfaces and creating RESTful and GraphQL APIs with a strong focus on data modeling and performance. Additionally, you will be involved in designing and managing infrastructure components using Docker and deploying to AWS services. Collaboration across various teams and participation in code reviews and agile development practices will be essential aspects of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain scalable, full-stack web applications using Next.js (frontend) and Node.js (backend) - Build user-centric interfaces to bring complex business processes to life through clean and responsive UI components - Create RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Node.js and TypeORM with a focus on data modeling and performance - Write modular, maintainable code with comprehensive unit and integration tests using frameworks like Jest and Supertest - Design and manage infrastructure components using Docker and deploy to AWS services - Translate UI/UX wireframes into functional front-end code with high attention to performance and accessibility - Produce clear and concise technical documentation - Collaborate across frontend, backend, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery - Participate in code reviews, continuous integration, and agile development practices Qualifications Required: - Strong experience with Next.js or React.js, including SSR/ISR concepts - Proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, and TypeORM or equivalent ORM tools - Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 - Experience working with Docker for local development and containerized deployment - Comfortable using AWS services like EC2, ECS, RDS, and S3 - Strong knowledge of RESTful API design, error handling, and security best practices - Experience with unit and integration testing using tools like Jest, Mocha, or Supertest - Familiar with version control systems such as Git, and CI/CD pipelines Additional Company Details: Kerv Digital, previously known as cloudThing, is an ethically led organization focused on solving complex problems through digital experiences.
