Lead / Senior ETL & Data Migration QA Engineer

You are invited to join our team as a Lead / Senior ETL & Data Migration QA Engineer in Hyderabad, India. In this role, you will play a crucial part in a significant data migration project, bringing your expertise in ETL testing, data validation, and cloud migration. Your primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing test strategies, executing test cases, validating data accuracy, and ensuring the integrity of large-scale data transformations. You will lead QA efforts across global teams, collaborating to deliver high-quality results. Your key responsibilities will involve developing robust test strategies for data migration and ETL processes, executing detailed test cases for data validation, performing SQL-based data testing, and using ETL tools like Talend for data pipeline validation. Additionally, you will lead QA activities for cloud data migration projects, coordinate testing efforts across teams, document test results and defects, and contribute to the development of automated testing frameworks. To qualify for this role, you should have at least 3 years of experience in QA with a focus on ETL testing, data validation, and data migration. Proficiency in SQL, hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica PowerCenter or DataStage, familiarity with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, and understanding of semi-structured data formats like JSON and XML are essential requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience in leading QA efforts, and the ability to work in distributed teams are also necessary. Preferred skills for this position include experience with automated testing tools for ETL processes, knowledge of data governance and quality standards, familiarity with cloud ecosystems like AWS, and certification in software testing such as ISTQB.
