Lead Security Engineer - Python Backend

As a Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity & Tech Controls team, you play a crucial role in enhancing, building, and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your responsibilities include: - Executing creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with innovative approaches - Developing secure, high-quality production code and reviewing/debugging code written by others - Identifying opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues for improving operational stability - Leading evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs - Leading communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new technologies Qualifications required for this role include: - Formal training or certification in Security Engineering concepts with at least 5 years of applied experience - Hands-on experience in Python development on large/medium-sized projects - Proficiency in Cloud technologies, including experience with Terraform scripting and deployment - Deep understanding of Python data structures, standard library, third-party packages, testing frameworks like pytest or unittest, ORM libraries like SQLAlchemy or Django ORM - Experience in AWS Data Analytics platform and related services such as S3, AWS Glue, RedShift, Athena, Lake Formation, Lambda - Knowledge of Application Design and Design Patterns, including microservice and cloud design patterns - Experience working in an Agile Development environment and contributing/facilitating Agile ceremonies - Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods - Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle Preferred qualifications and skills include: - Familiarity with full-stack development, including experience creating REST-based services on Java/Spring/Spring Boot - AWS experience is preferred Please note that no additional details about the company were provided in the job description.,
