Lead SDET

Role Overview: You will be working as an experienced Lead SDET for Acceldata's Open Source Data Platform (ODP), focusing on ensuring the quality and performance of large-scale data systems. Your role will involve collaborating with development and operations teams to design and implement comprehensive test strategies for ODP and related technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and Kafka. You will be responsible for test automation, performance tuning, and identifying bottlenecks in distributed data systems to maintain high-quality standards for big data solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Write test plans and create automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing. - Identify and resolve defects, ensure data integrity, and improve testing processes. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality initiatives and maintain high-quality standards for big data solutions. - Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge to enhance testing practices across the team. - Analyze testing processes and recommend enhancements to align with industry best practices. Qualification Required: - 6-10 years of hands-on experience in quality engineering and quality assurance, with a focus on test automation, performance testing, and defect management across multiple data platforms. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala for writing test scripts and automating test cases. - Experience in developing automated tests using test automation frameworks and ensuring robust and scalable test suites. - Ability to define and execute comprehensive test strategies, write test plans, test cases, and scripts for functional and non-functional testing. - Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI. - Strong communication skills to work cross-functionally with development teams and mentor junior team members. - Commitment to continuous improvement and ability to analyze testing processes to recommend enhancements aligning with industry best practices.,
