Job Description

Role Overview: You will be joining Zenoti as a Lead Reliability Engineer specializing in Observability and AppOps. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional application teams to develop high-quality solutions, taking ownership of individual deliverables, contributing to the adoption of DevOps practices, defining SLA/SLO/SLIs for application components, and mentoring others on advanced technical issues. Additionally, you will need to stay updated on technologies that enhance availability and scalability of distributed infrastructure in a high traffic setup, serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Reliability trends, and provide architectural governance. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with cross-functional application teams and take ownership of individual deliverables - Contribute to the adoption of DevOps practices and architecture design - Define SLA/SLO/SLIs for application components and drive their adoption - Functionally decompose complex problems into simple solutions - Understand system inter-dependencies and limitations fully - Mentor individuals on advanced technical issues - Stay updated on technologies for enhancing availability and scalability of distributed infrastructure - Serve as an SME for Reliability trends and architectural concepts - Advise on implementing Cloud best practices and provide architectural governance - Troubleshoot, analyze, and explain complex system behaviors across various layers including infrastructure, application, and user-facing components Qualifications: - 8+ years of overall experience in any discipline of Software Engineering with exposure to DevOps/Reliability Engineering domain - Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like New Relic, DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar - Deep understanding of APM, log aggregation, distributed tracing, metrics, and dashboards - Experience with public cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Azure - Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, Cloud Formation, or others - Proficiency in Configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible - Knowledge of Cloud Security Principles - Solid experience in programming languages like Python or similar object-oriented languages and scripting languages - Experience with automating cloud-native technologies, deploying applications, and provisioning infrastructure - Familiarity with cloud-native CI/CD workflows and tools like CodePipeline, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and GitLab - Experience with microservices, distributed applications, and serverless computing capabilities,
