Lead Quality Assurance Engineer- Mobile Testing

As a member of the OpenText team, you will play a crucial role in developing comprehensive test plans and test cases for iOS and Android platforms. Your impact will be significant in ensuring the functionality, usability, and compatibility of applications across various devices. You will be responsible for conducting manual and automated testing, collaborating with developers, and contributing to the continuous improvement of testing processes. - Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements for iOS and Android. - Identify test scenarios for different device types, screen sizes, and operating system versions. - Prioritize test cases based on risk assessment and project timelines. - Execute manual test cases on various iOS and Android devices to verify functionality, usability, and compatibility. - Perform regression testing to ensure new features do not impact existing functionalities. - Conduct exploratory testing to identify potential issues not covered by scripted test cases. - Develop and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks like Appium for iOS and Android platforms. - Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing. - Log detailed defect reports with clear descriptions, screenshots, and steps to reproduce issues in a defect tracking system. - Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve identified defects. - Conduct performance testing to evaluate app responsiveness, load times, battery usage, and memory consumption on various devices. - Test applications across a wide range of iOS and Android devices, including different screen sizes, resolutions, and operating system versions. - BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related technical field. - Proven practical experience of at least 8 years as a QA Engineer. - Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and life cycle. - Expertise in manual and automated testing on iOS and Android platforms. - Familiarity with automation frameworks like Appium, Selenium, or other relevant tools. - Knowledge of mobile device capabilities and limitations. - Basic understanding of programming languages like Java or Python (preferred). - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects effectively. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with developers and stakeholders. - Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. - Experience with Agile development methodologies. - Knowledge of mobile testing tools like Firebase Test Lab, Browser Stack, or similar platforms. - Familiarity with API testing concepts. - Experience with performance testing tools (optional).,
